Vitrification: Cryopreservation of eggs and embryos

We freeze time

Vitrification involves freezing eggs and embryos instantaneously, ensuring that ice crystals are not able to form, and reducing, to practically zero, the risk of damage to the cellular structures when the embryos are defrosted.

This technique has enabled us to preserve eggs and embryos for later use and guarantee a survival rate of nearly 100%.

Ginemed was the first centre in Andalusia to use this technique; since 2007, we have been at the forefront of vitrification and training professionals from other centres.
